Moving to Sunset Valley was necessary in order to become the world's most skilled Sim. I wanted be the best at everything. At first I stayed to myself and spent most days inside listening to music and working on my house but I needed to get out and see what else was out there. My first step was to go to the gym. If I was going to be the world's best, I would have to be skilled physically and mentally. My first day at the gym was unforgettable. It seemed like all of Sunset valley was there with the same goal (Gym Day).  Tamara and Aimee were having a hard time with the equipment but I kept the laughter to myself, of course. I hoped to see Emma though she was probably long gone. I doubt I'd get any work done with her around.  There were a few kids that came in later that day. I assumed they came in to  goof around with the equipment or to wait for their parents. I thought nothing of it until I noticed a little girl who looked very familiar. She looked like she was related to Bella from the 'Old Neighborhood.' It's possible she may have had family in Sunset Valley. Normally I would just ignore it and go about my business but her resemblance was uncanny. Believe it or not, this was Bella Goth and the kid she was with was Michael Bachelor. From what it seemed I may have walked into a time warp and had gone back in time or something..

This would be something worthy of a panic attack, but I have seen a lot of unusual things in the valley as well as my 'Old neighborhood' including ghosts and a pet invasion. I found out that both Bella and Michael were brother and sister and apparently lived in the Valley years before I met them as adults. To my surprise, Bella actually believed me and took  great interest in my story. She seemed to be fascinated with the supernatural and probably wanted to know more about her future rather than how I got there. I stuck with telling her about minor details but warned her about her disappearance. If I gave away too much information I thought I would jeopardized the existence of her daughter, Cassandra. Michael didn't believe me and thought I was funny. He removed himself from the conversation. I've always took Michael as the loner type since he lived on his own as an adult and seemed to enjoy it.
Talking with Bella...Mind, blown!

I don't know how I got there (that particular point in time) but pretty soon I accepted it. I made Sunset Valley my home. But for 'future' reference, I really should keep my eyes open for time portals and other crazy things that go on in this world. After getting over the slight shock of going back in time, I continued with my goal. It would take a lot of time at the gym as well as practicing chess in the park to increase my logic among other things. One night after a workout I visited the park and suddenly old feelings resurfaced as I saw Emma with her roomies. I haven't seen her in a very long time. I thought she left Sunset with the guy she was dating. I assumed that was the reason she had to leave abruptly last time we spoke. That's what made it so difficult to talk to her that night. I didn't want to make things anymore awkward than they already were. I had to let it go and occupy my time with my new goal. Once I improved my skills, there would be time for things like that...at least that was what I told myself.
Emma at the park with her roommates.

I was able to buy a chess board and didn't always have to go to the park. I thought this would help me stay focused but it seemed like I wasn't improving as fast as I hoped.  I was invited to the Martinez place to celebrate Jennifer's new job but I really wasn't in a partying mood.  I was sure by then I was known as the legendary time traveler to Bella's friends. She was a very smart kid and was very blunt. She was like my advisor. Her advice to me about Emma was to 'just talk to her." I didn't want to admit it but seeing Emma again made me feel like I was missing something. Maybe Bella figured that out as well. It's funny how we were never this close when she was an adult living with Mortimer and Cassandra in the 'old neighborhood.' How would this turn out if I ever got back to my time. Would she remember these days? Meeting her parents and befriending them would probably change the course of time. I really need to pick up a book on time travel. Maybe I could get a good discount. But anyway, as big as the Valley was, it still turned out being a small world. I saw Tamara, Emma and their roomies outside of their place ready to start their daily routine. I realized that these feelings for Emma were holding me back. In order for me to move forward, I would have to talk to her. Just thinking about my goals and how serious I was about improving my Sim life, a moment of confidence and determination came over me and I walked over to their place and greeted them both. Surprisingly, Emma was the one who spoke first and the awkwardness between us was gone. She knew we had a lot in common and wanted to get to know me all over again. It's amazing what can happen when you step out of your comfort zone.  Tamara was known to be a little feisty but we got along as well. She was also into politics which opened an opportunity to learn more and improve my skills as well as gaining a new chess opponent. I learned everything I could from her about politics, chess etc. One day I was at the pool with her and she asked me, "You're thinking about Emma aren't you?" Before I could say anything she suggested I should spend more time with her. She followed up with splashing water in my face, laughing. I had to tell my little advisor. Bella's father was kept out of the loop about the time warp. Her mother, however believed my story as well. Apparently Bella's mother saw a lot of unusual things as a Sim  herself. She'd call me "future guy" with a little sarcasm but well aware of the fact that it may have been true.
"So you must be the 'future guy.'"

Improving my skills at the park.
I was invited in and told Bella that I've been talking to Emma again. Emma was not seeing anyone and even though I was a Sim, I tried not to rush into things too quickly but to also let her know that I felt very good about how things were going. We had a date at the park, where we last spoke. It was like continuing where we left off. I learned that even though we had different styles we were still alike. I could tell by her art work. Sometimes I would wait with Tamara for Emma to get off work and we would spend a lot of time together there as well as at my place. It was the beginning of something great.  If I entered a time warp I was sure to watch where I stepped because I didn't want to leave this place...Ever.

I would continue my quest to become the most skilled Sim in the world. Would I achieve it? Would Emma stay and support me? More stories to come!

Thanks for reading! :)
